"Motty" reveals some great moments
Great night with John "Motty" Motson and Ricky George at the Belfry. A change of venue in the Lichfield Suite was a nice touch for the 150 guests and we were extremely well entertained by the commentating legend, who preceded his talk with a wonderful 10 minute compilation of "Motty's Moments" on DVD.
"It was a superb Belfry evening as ever" commented Joe Stainer, Chairman of the Sporting Club "to meet up with old friends, share a few stories, a drink or two and hear a commentating legend is a great treat"
John raffled one of his infamous prompt cards at the end of the evening for charity.

British Lions and Ireland Prop Forward Paul Wallace
We enjoyed a wonderful night in the company of Ireland and British Lions prop forward, Paul Wallace on Thursday 22nd October. Taking the club members through his early life, breaking into the infamous Munster ranks and enjoying professional rugby at Saracens in the early days of professional rugby with greats such as Francois Pieraal, Philippe Sella and Michael Lymugh. Paul also took us on a unique tour through the 1997 British Lions winning team, unveiling the culture of winning Ian McGeechan engendered against a seemingly superior Springbok team. Thank you Paul.
